These and other questions will be part of this year's Panel Discussion at the Eco Summer Camp.
Sr. Alessandra Smerilli, FMA
Secretary at the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development
Sister Alessandra Smerilli works at the Pontifical Faculty of Educational Sciences Auxilium as an extraordinary professor of political economy and statistics, and also as a member of the University's board of directors. She also teaches economics, ethics and finance at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Salesian Pontifical University and in the master's program in civil and non-profit economics at the University of Milan-Bicocca.
On 24 March 2021, Pope Francis appointed her the Undersecretary for the Faith and Development Sector of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development of the Roman Curia.She became, as interim, the first woman secretary of the dicastery on 26 August 2021. This made her the highest ranking woman in the curia at the time.On 23 April 2022 she became the Secretary for the Dicastery.
Dr. Aneeqa Malik
Dr Aneeqa Malik is a proponent of an economic model based on benevolence and reciprocal brotherhood caring for the less fortunate amongst us. She is the founder of iSRA (Integral Soulidarity Research Academy) and the Co-founder of Trans4m Communiversity Associates (TCA).
Her Soulidarity economic model and thesis bridges the divide between the material and the spiritual. She is on the advisory board of CIEEM (Centre for Integral Ecology, Economics and iMpact) established in collaboration with John Bolte Business School at St. Mary's University, Maryland, and Al-Mabrook, first Islamic Tokenisation platform for Community Finance.

Prof. Amar KJR Nayak
Dr. Amar Nayak, a tenured Professor at Xavier Institute of Management, specializes in fostering Regenerative Ecosystems through innovative ecosystemic-transdisciplinary action research. As Chairperson of the Centre for All Interacting Evolving Systems Science (AIESS), he focuses on transition strategies for diverse environments. With a global perspective from prestigious institutions, he actively engages in research, teaching, and policy advisory roles. His extensive publication record includes books, monographs, and over 100 articles. Beyond academia, Dr. Nayak advises various governmental, for profit, non-profit organizations, small communities, youth, and children contributing to a nuanced understanding of anthropocentric complexities in nature, ecology, and systems science.
